You must apply for the YouTube Partner Program and your application must be accepted. You may also be eligible to receive rewards from Shorts through the YouTube Shorts Fund without joining the YouTube Partner Program. Some notes We won't limit what content you can create on YouTube, but we are responsible for protecting the interests of viewers, creators and advertisers on our Platform. If you're in the YouTube Partner Program, you can earn money through YouTube. 

We expect YouTube Partner Program members to provide high quality content. YouTube channels do not need to have monetization enabled to be eligible for the YouTube Shorts Fund. Creators who participate in the YouTube Partner Program and MCN channels are eligible for the fund. You may have to pay tax on your YouTube earnings, more information below. To monetize the YouTube Partner Program You can monetize on YouTube with the following features: 

Each feature has its own set of eligibility requirements, as well as the number of subscribers and views. Some features may not be available if reviewers determine that the channel or video content is not eligible to be enabled. We created these additional terms for two main reasons. The most important reason is that we have to meet legal requirements in every country where the feature is available. 

The second reason is that we need to make sure there's enough context around qualified creator channels to be able to reward them, which means we generally need to review more content. We want to remind you that we constantly review channels to ensure that content complies with our policies. Minimum eligibility requirements to enable monetization features After your application to join the YouTube Partner Program is accepted, you'll be able to take advantage of the following monetization features: Advertising revenue Be at least 18 years old or have a legal guardian over 18 who can manage payments via AdSense Create content that meets our guidelines for advertiser-friendly content.

                                                         

 Subscribed channels You must be at least 18 years old You are located in a country/region where Subscriptions are supported for channels That the channel is not categorized as made for children and does not include a large number of videos categorized as made for children Your channel is not a music channel under the Record Audiovisual Agreement (SRAV). 

The shopping Your channel must have more than 1,000 subscribers or be an official artist channel That the channel is not categorized as made for children and does not include a large number of videos categorized as made for children. Super Chat and Super Stickers You must be at least 18 years old Live in a country/region where Super Chat and Super Stickers are available Thank you feature You must be at least 18 years old You are located in a country/region where Super Chat is available Your channel is not a music channel under the Audiovisual Recording Agreement (SRAV).
